INFRARED
Electric Infrared Modules :
CSI develops electrical IR modules with dimensions adapted to treatment type. Whether it is for curing of one or more adhesive beads, the position of areas to be cured is highly variable, and can range from a few millimeters to several meters in size. CSI uses standard and custom-made modules in order to meet the customer’s exact needs.
The type of infrared module will also vary depending on the surface that will transmit the IR energy to the glue (steel, aluminum, plastics, fibrous, etc.), its color and absorption characteristics. The goal is to heat the surface to its permitted temperature as quickly as possible to allow rapid conduction into the material and adhesive. The process can take from a few seconds to several minutes depending on the adhesives, the surface to be treated and the complexity of the parts.
In order to control the process and obtain perfect repeatability, CSI creates one or several pyrometric control loops with several operating modes. If the component(s) require it, power variation zones further improve control.
3D transmitter :
Some complex pieces do not allow the placement of infrared modules to maintain the effectiveness of infrared radiation. The solution lies in the 3D emitters. These emitters are designed specifically for the project. They follow the geometry of the parts to be heated and are attached directly to the formers.
A gold or ceramic reflector integrated into the emitter concentrates the radiation on the valuable surface.
Electron beams
Curing and processing adhesives :
EBeam technology not only cures adhesive but also improves specific properties through curing or vulcanization, considerably improving the quality of the product, particularly for PSAs (Pressure Sensitives adhesives). The adhesive layer has high shear strength, reduced thermoplasticity and improved chemical resistance.
