INFRARED
Infrared speed-up ovens :
CSI develops tailor-made IR tunnels that enhance existing convection ovens. The goal can be to speed up the heat-up rate, remove specific cold points on or under the vehicle, or simply improve the quality and temperature curves. The infrared speed up tunnels can be placed in front of existing ovens, in the oven entry or even in the convection oven itself. Ventilation for the IR section is totally independent from the oven air. Therefore, installing an infrared speed up tunnel does not change the quality and the balance of the doped ovens.
Speed up can be applied to vehicle surfaces or a specific point for precisely defined radiation, only heating a specific point on the X, Y and Z axes.
Speed up installations are available in electric infrared or gas infrared versions when conditions permit.

Dual tone infrared ovens :
More and more cars are available in two-tone versions, two different colors applied to the same car bodywork. So, in automotive industry, the Dual tone infrared ovens are the best solution for these new kinds of lines.
The short infrared oven or tunnel is a good alternative as it heats specific points of the applied second paint color without an increase in temperature on the first one. The dual tone infrared oven can also heat only the cars that have a second coat if monotone and two-tone versions are applied on the same automotive line.
Similarly than IR speed up tunnel, the infrared elements can be placed before dual tone infrared ovens or in the entrance of existing automotive ovens, or simply replace them, depending on the process.
The two-tone infrared ovens are also very convenient for the new 3 wet or 4 wet curing lines in automotive industry.
Plate preheating systems :
CSI develops and manufactures IR panels of any size on demand for preheating plates and various parts on the sides of production lines. Infrared radiation is ideally suited for rapid heating of vehicle parts.
These panels are controlled by a touch screen panel. Power is regulated by zones for guaranteed temperature (pyrometric measurement).

Pre-gel or curing systems for sealants and vehicles :
Chaudelec Systèmes Industriels designs and implements pre-gel installations for sealants / waxes on automotive lines. Due to a strong experience and knowledge of sealants pre-gel by short infrared, the installations from CSI are optimized for the best result with the lowest energy cost. What’s more, only the sealants areas are heated without a global increase of the car body. The result is also a very quick cooling.
The IR systems from CSI can work and pre-gel sealants on vehicles moving forward step-by-step or in continuous process. The temperature curve required is guaranteed by pyrometer regulation and control. An efficient monitoring of production permits the right consumption for a reliable result.
From basic requirements of our customers, based on the car bodies geometry, we are able to design and commission complete infrared curing installations in every country in the World.
Full panel IR touch-up facilities on rails systems:
CSI designs a full range of Infrared systems for curing in paint booth, from very small areas to full vehicle panels and from mobile paint dryers on wheels to ceiling mounted infrared dryers.
Mounted on electrified rail system that allow movement in all directions, the IR panels can reach any point on a vehicle. Depending on the customer request, IR body shop dryers can be designed for vertical or horizontal touch-ups or designed with the vertical and horizontal infrared panels.
Panel movement is very ergonomic. It can also be automated.
Like the entire line of CSI IR products, IR Full Panels use an optimized pyrometric regulation process.
Finally, we use CNOMO equipment, which is already on the materials lists of most automobile manufacturers.

Infrared touch-up dryers on rail systems :
CSI designs a full range of Infrared systems for curing in paint booth, from very small areas to full vehicle panels and from mobile paint dryers on wheels to ceiling mounted infrared dryers.
The ceiling mounted dryers can be fed by circular rail systems that can accommodate several infrared curing panels.
Mounted on electrified rail system that allow movement in all directions, the Infrared dryer can be adjusted to reach any point on a vehicle.
Panel movement is very ergonomic. Like the entire line of CSI IR products, Infrared dryers use an optimized pyrometric regulation process.
Finally, we use CNOMO equipment, which is already on the materials lists of most automobile manufacturers and industrial body shops.
Infrared touch-up mobile paint dryers :
CSI’s touch-up mobile systems on wheels can be of any size from A5 to door panels. They are robustly constructed and suitable for heavy use. Their design combines ease of use with technical power management to consistently meet the time and temperature objectives of our customers’ products. They are in most of the industrial body shops and are designed to stay for a long time…
Installation of IR cassettes, especially for vehicle interiors, is facilitated by a series of complementary axes. Ergonomics have also been optimized over the years and through customer feedback. We have adjusted handle arrangement, positioning aids and added brakes adapted to extreme positions for the best curing in our customer paint booth.

Quick Spot infrared touch-up systems :
Quick Spot infrared touch-up systems are currently particularly popular due to the possibility of drastically reducing touch-up times and production losses created by removing vehicles from the main production line.
As manufacturers’ approaches are different, CSI has developed a series of infrared cassettes of different dimensions, powers and IR technologies. CSI Quick Spot systems range from multi-purpose cassettes (short and regular) to A4 size.
Infrared heating systems for plastic parts :
Infrared can also be used to heat plastic parts (such as SMC, GMT, etc.) before molding, in order to extract VOCs or any other desired flexibility. In partnership with several leading automotive suppliers, CSI has developed several continuous and stop and go conveyor systems and drawers that allow for controlled and optimized temperature increase.
Production data and confirmation tests are used to develop the equipment. We keep all information confidential.

3D transmitter :
Some complex pieces do not allow the placement of infrared modules to maintain the effectiveness of infrared radiation. The solution lies in the 3D emitters. These emitters are designed specifically for the project. They follow the geometry of the parts to be heated and are attached directly to the formers.
A gold or ceramic reflector integrated into the emitter concentrates the radiation on the valuable surface.
Ultraviolet
Polymerization / curing for varnishes / adhesives on glass :
Infrared and Ultraviolet technologies are very interesting because they are adaptable and reactive for glue curing and polymerization of varnishes on glass parts. They can be added to lines or robots depending on the use.
For UV treatments in particular, it is important to work with the formulation supplier. Our chemical engineers are available for defining the most suitable solution for the targeted product or process.
